ODTs are an innovative way and a powerful tool for ensuring the product life cycle management. Moreover, since ODTs disintegrate quickly in the mouth, the tablets are patient friendly, being far more convenient than the traditional “tablet and a glass of water”. Thus ODTs are interesting to achieve patient compliance, particularly suitable for paediatric, geriatric and psychiatric patients.
